About this one
Come hang out with friends, meet some new friends, and make a fool of yourself hitting some golf balls.
That's the pitch. We book a bay, put out some food, and a group of agency and marketing folks spend a couple of hours swinging badly and talking to each other. In reality nobody doing this is any good, for the most part — so it's really okay.
How it works
- Food is on us. Light finger fare — think wings, meatballs, chips, that sort of thing — with both vegetarian options and a little meat. It's enough to hold you over until dinner or to take the edge off before it.
- Basic drinks are covered too. Any other food purchases and alcohol go on your own tab.
- One of the hosts will be near the entrance for the first stretch of the event to point you where you need to go. If you show up later than that, just ask the front desk for Classic City.
- Bring a friend. Same as our other events — the more new faces in the bay, the better it works.
Why we do this
Same reason we do any of this: to build community. We like keeping things simple, and the idea of just having fun with other people in the agency and marketing world is something we think is genuinely necessary.
We all need to get out of our houses and do something different once in a while. It doesn't always have to be about work. Sometimes it's just a good excuse to hang out, eat something, and be bad at golf in public together.
