Six-Top

Six-Top

Once a month, two hosts hand-pick four people for a long lunch at a good Atlanta restaurant — six seats, ninety minutes, no agenda beyond genuinely good conversation. Lunch is on us.

About this one

Once a month we host a lunch somewhere around Atlanta with exactly six people at the table: two hosts and four guests we hand-select.

We pick the group deliberately. Sometimes that means four people from different corners of business, sometimes it means four people doing something very similar — either can make for a great table. What we're actually selecting for is conversationalists.

How it works

  • Six people, one table. Two hosts, four invited guests. That's the whole format, and the number is the point.
  • A decent restaurant somewhere around Atlanta. It changes month to month.
  • About an hour and a half. Long enough to get past small talk.
  • The hosts split the tab. Lunch is on us — you just show up.

What we actually talk about

There's no agenda and no programming. We open the table and see where it goes. The things that tend to come up:

  • What's happening in your business right now
  • The challenges you're working through
  • What you're thinking about for your company
  • What you make of the state of marketing

That's it. Good food, five other people worth talking to, and ninety minutes to actually get into something.

How you end up at the table

Most invitations come out of our other events. We meet a lot of people at the bigger gatherings, and when we want to get to know someone better than a room of thirty allows, this is where we invite them.

So a seat here usually isn't the first time we've met — it's the follow-up.
